Expansion of Banking Infrastructure Across India
The expansion of bank branches and offices is emerging as a significant megatrend in India, fueled by the rapid digitalization of banking services and the need to cater to an expanding customer base in both urban and rural areas. With India’s banking market projected to grow at a CAGR of 9–10% until 2030, traditional banking infrastructure is evolving alongside digital platforms. Public and private sector banks are opening new branches to increase their reach, particularly in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, where banking penetration remains relatively low. In addition to retail banking, commercial and regional offices are expanding to support India’s growing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and the increasing demand for financial services across sectors. The trend is also driven by fintech innovations and the government’s push for financial inclusion. As a result, demand for secure, modern banking environments with integrated security systems such as surveillance, access control, and alarm systems is expected to rise significantly, creating substantial opportunities in the commercial real estate and electronic security sectors.
